1 Day Cusco - Cloud Rainforest
Very early departure at down by mini-bus, mid-morning sight to the interesting ruins of Ninamarca commonly known as "Chullpas", the trip continues to the picturesque town of Paucartambo and on toward the Ajanacu pass, which marks the beginning of the cultural zone of the Manu's Biosphere reserve. Here is the zone of the perpetual humidity and mist, making an ideal habitat for tropical plants such as Bromeliads; the diversity of the environment is home for the Cock of the Rocks, bears, orchids, tree ferns (one of the oldest living plants), mosses and Lichens.
2 Day Cloud Rainforest - Madre de Dios River Early wake up to watch the Cock of the Rock (Rupicola peruviana), Peru's national bird. About 5:00 am watch as many as several dozen eats together in an exhibition of ritual mating dances, the male display their crest, showing off and posturing for the females, fewer in number, watching to select the most male suitable. After breakfast the trip continues down the narrow road between waterfalls and canyons toward the town of Atalaya. Here will board the motorized canoes, heading down the Madre de Dios river; camp is set at the shores of an appropriate beach.
3 Day Madre de Dios River - Boca Manu After breakfast the sail continues down the river heading to Boca-Manu for a four hours trip to this small village where you can buy your last fresh supplies and cold drinks before setting off again in the canoe. Now you enter the Manu River and the Reserved Zone stopping at Limonal where the camp is set.
4 Day Boca Manu - Lake Salvador
After an early breakfast at Limonal and the obligatory control at the Official Tourist logbook the journey continues up the Manu River until you arrive at our campsite at Salvador Lake. This canoe ride will give you rare and unique

opportunity to watch the immensity of the rainforest and the diversity of bird life and of reptiles and mammals sunning themselves on beaches.
5 Day Lake Salvador - Lake Otorongo
Early wake up by the Red Howler caws (Aloatta seniculus) declaring its territory, a short hike before breakfast is the best way to catch wildlife in their pursuit of food, temperature is very pleasant at this time of day; free time for relaxing or swimming in the lake. After lunch a 8 km hike head us to the Otorongo Lake, where an strategically located tower arises 15 meter above the lake, giving more chances to observe wildlife, such as the Giant Otter (Pleronura brasiliensis), an endangered species. Late afternoon the Black Caimans rise from the depths of the lake and begin it's search for food. Late evening return to the campsite.
6 Day Lake Otorongo - Blanquillo
Once again, early wake up to enjoy a brief hike, then the campsite is packed up and begins the sail down the Manu River, arriving at Boca Manu around midday, the journey continues until Blanquillo at the shores of the Madre de Dios River where the camp is set on the lodge area. Free tme for swimming and for those who whish a short hike to Cocha Blanquillo guides are ready.
7 Day Blanquillo - Collpa Guacamayos
Early wake up to board a camouflaged catamaran heading down river to the "Collpa" Macaw lick; you must quietly observe the parrots feeding on the clay for mineral and salt supplement to their diet of seeds and fruit, the brightly colored macaws usually wait patiently in the surrounding trees until the smaller parrot species have left the area, slowly the macaws come down to the clay wall to feed.
It's necessary a lot of patience and silence on the Catamaran to not disturb the birds when are eating the clay. At around mid morning the trip continue until Atalaya.

Day Atalaya - Cusco Begins the return bus ride to Cusco. Arrival and transfer to your hotel.
